About Fornebu Cargo bike

Fornebu Cargo bike is a pilot project where shared electric cargo bikes are made available for those who work, live or stay at Fornebu. The “Fornebu Cargo” app lets you unlock and rent electric cargo bikes.

Who’s behind Fornebu Cargo bike?

Fornebu Scooter is owned and developed by Urban Sharing AS, the Norwegian technology startup powering the city bikes of Oslo, Bergen, Trondheim and Edinburgh. The service is operated in collaboration with Fornebu S.

Why piloting?

Urban Sharing is a development and technology company, which is piloting to test new features and ways to solve challenges in the industry. Through the cargo bike pilot in Fornebu, we aim to gain a better understanding of how cargo bikes can be efficiently integrated into a city’s transport system, make smarter use of existing urban areas, and improve the public transportation ecosystem overall.

Learning and sharing of data

As a company, we place a lot of value in sharing data from all of our systems. Insight gathered during our cargo pilot will be published back into the public domain like we do with all the bike schemes that is running on our platform.

What do we do

Repair bikes

Cargo bikes in a sharing system are frequently used, and therefore require regular lubrication, washing, and love.

Help our users

👋 We’re available to offer information and answer questions by e-mail and telephone. We also talk with users directly in the app, or here on the website.

Continue to develop the service

We’re here to make sure that more and more people are using the cargo bikes. To make this happen, we’re working to make the cargo bikes better, keep the apps and website updated, and develop new ideas.
